Planroom Policies

Regular planroom hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Normal operating hours can be changed in observance of holidays. In the event of such a change, new hours will be posted in advance.

All persons using the planroom must sign the register at the front desk. 

Plans and specifications will be assigned a number. This number will be assigned a bin number. The bin number will appear on the daily planroom sheet as well as the plans and specifications themselves.

Defacing plans and specifications in any manner will not be tolerated. 

To serve our members better, plans may be divided into several sections. This will be done only by Mid State Builders Exchange personnel.

Members reviewing plans on bid date or the day prior must not use any one set of plans for more than one hour if another member is waiting. 

Member firms may reserve a specific set of plans only once during the bidding cycle without special permission from the Executive Director.

Member firms may reserve only three sets of plans and specifications for any given evening.

Reserved plans must be picked up between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. These plans must be returned no later than between 8:00 a.m. and 9.00 am the following business day. If you have plans reserved and are unable to use them, please contact the Mid State Builders Exchange before 4:00 p.m. so they can be reassigned.

Photocopies are available. Please ask the Mid State Builders Exchange employee on duty for copy machine locations and current pricing.

The Mid State Builders Exchange personnel can produce blueprint copies. Prices vary depending on the size requirements.

 Proper planroom etiquette should be observed at all times.

No smoking in the building.
